One of Ofcom’s key priorities is making sure customers can switch quickly and easily between communications providers as well as keeping their mobile number, if they choose to do so.

The new Ofcom rules which came into effect from 11 April, state when a customer calls to obtain their PAC code, it must be provided immediately over the phone or by text message within two hours. The time taken to port a number must also reduce from two working days to one working day. This applies to all UK mobile network operators and you can find out more about the Ofcom rules here.
