The Customer:

Gadebridge community centre aim to meet the needs of the Community by providing a friendly and supportive environment which enriches the quality of life with access inclusive to all from Pre-School to groups such as Evergreens. We promote activities which benefit the inhabitants of Gadebridge and the surrounding area defined by Gadebridge Community Association. The rooms/halls available at the centre can also be used for almost any purpose.

The Challenge:

As a large-scale, multi-purpose facility, Gadebridge Community Centre has always used a lot of energy in order to ensure that the centre is fully functional day in, day out. Events are taking place from early in the morning until late at night, seven days a week, the  community centre has a high energy consumption and wanted to make sure a consultant was looking at their costs in order to save their charity money. In addition, with tight budgets to manage, Gadebridge Community Association were also keen on finding an energy tariff that would offer long-term protection from price rises.

The Solution:

On contact, our Energy Procurement team set to work looking at all Electric & Gas meters, we contacted all the current suppliers for current usage over the past 2 years and current end dates, we then went to the market for tenders with suitable energy providers. The proposed offer was to have two suppliers, one for the Gas with SSE & one for the Electricity supplies with Corona. All to finish on the same dates over a 36-month period. Savings were in excess of £3,000.

The Results:

The Future:

Solution Consultants will continue to work closely with Gadebridge Community Centre to ensure they are compliant on their new contracts and ensure they continue to receive the best rates and service they possibly can.
